Where is the Nightlife?

Have you ever been to a new city for a wedding or family reunion and wondered where you can go for dancing, clubbing, night life, live music, etc? Let's take San Diego for an example. San Diego is known for things like Sea World, the Wild Animal Park, the Zoo, and it's gorgeous beaches and mild weather.

But unless you have been there, I'll bet you didn't know San Diego had a quaint and safe little "downtown" area called the Gaslamp District. The Gaslamp District not only offers great dining and nightlife such as Croce's Restaurant & Jazz Bar, the gaslamp is the historic heart of San Diego.

Teeming With Night Life
San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter now enjoys an exciting and vibrant night scene with around 70 super-chic restaurants and 20 vivacious nightclubs. San Diego's temperate climate coupled with the Gaslamp's quaint, well-policed sphere of activity to make the quarter the perfect place to shop for curios in boutiques by day and dine on California cuisine or various ethnic delights before dancing to live jazz, blues, rock, latin jazz, or dance club music by night.

Many nights, people out on the sidewalks outnumber those inside, and lines of cars carouse the streets in search of a highly coveted parking spot. Valet parking attendants typically charge $7 per vehicle, with a 10-minute retrieval time. Although San Diego has great hotels all along the coast, there are many fine hotels located right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter.
